Kampala Parents School has graduated its pupils as part of end of third term promotions.
The function which was attended by a mammoth crowd of pupils and parents took place at the school main hall in Naguru Kampala today.
Prominent city lawyer David Balondemu on part of parents said they have a noble duty of parenting their children by impacting good morals, to be God fearing and law abiding.
“I wish to caution the parents and the school management to take extra care about the children’s safety from home to school, at school and from school to home especially in this era of kidnap and ransoms”.
He also called upon the Government to ensure enforcement of safety and hygiene of school premises.
“Not every roofed space should be turned into a school; there should be minimum standards and specifications to do away with the current school fires and poor hygiene in schools”. Said Balondemu.
He added that” We have had instances where frustrated landlords after being disappointed by tenants for failure to meet their rental obligations opt to turn houses into schools with no basic hygiene standards for the young children who are vulnerable to contamination of hygiene related infections like Flu, cough, Even UTI’s”.
He commended Kampala Parents School for putting up a world class facility with spacious classrooms, well stocked library, computer rooms, tailoring room, sick bay, day care and a modern kitchen.
“With these facilities I am sure that you the parents and the school management shall keep in business”.
“As you can see with an enrollment of about 3000 children, you have won the confidence of most of us the parents and please, keep the standards”.
“To parents, I wish to express my appreciation of your active contribution towards your children’s education. Today is a great day both to you and to your children”.
“I am sure that the graduation ceremony will stay in your child’s memory and as well as yours forever”.
He also congratulated the school and the teachers for their efforts and contribution in promoting the development and education of our young children.
“To our children, the graduands, I once again extend my warm congratulations on your achievements at KPS and wish you success in your future studies”.
