Poloto ready for Cameroon challenge

Futaa-The Uganda U20 national team, Hippos, will be taking on Cameroon U20 side, in the first leg of the second round of the 2019 Africa U20 Championships qualifiers on Saturday 12th May at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.

The Uganda Hippos skipper Julius Poloto says they have prepared well for the clash and is backing the Ugandan side, to give a good account of themselves even though the bookies have placed Cameroon U20 as the favorites in this clash.

Hippos saw off South Sudan 8 – 1 across the two legs of the first round of qualifiers and though the result in the two legged tie against Cameroon is not expected to be as big, Poloto hopes they can give their all to advance.

Respect Cameroon

“It is a big game and a bigger challenge, definitely. It will be tougher than the first round but the coach has prepared us for it. We respect Cameroon but that will be different on the pitch, because we are going there for a win since we are playing at home in this first leg,” he said.

The second leg will be staged in Cameroon on Friday 18th May.
