Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali, the Ethiopian Prime Minister has today arrived in the country for a two-day state visit on invitation of President Museveni.
Abiy is expected to hold bilateral talks with his host Museveni to further strengthen Uganda and Ethiopia trade and political ties.
Tomorrow, Dr Abiy will be a special guest at Uganda’s National Heroes Day celebrations in Kakumiro District.
He will receive the Pearl of Africa Grand Master Medal.
Starting from 2015, Abiy became one of the central figures in the violent fight against illegal land-grabbing activities in Oromia Region and especially around the capital Addis Ababa.
On 15 February 2018, he replaced the former Ethiopian Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn who resigned following three years of protest and unrest in the country.
