Military has transferred the embattled former Inspector general of police General Kale Kayihura from Makindye military police barracks to his home in the outskirts of Kampala city.
According a military source, the military general is now under house arrest in his home in Muyenga Kampala under strict surveillance by the military.
A Military source narrated to this investigative website that, Kale as he is fondly called by his peers was transferred from Makindye cell to his home on orders of the president after several meetings with different stakeholders including a delegation from Kisoro district.
Source added that Kayihura is now detained at his home and is only allowed to be accessed by his lawyers and family members.
He was also allowed to have a chef who is cooking for him.
Kayihura was arrested on orders of CDF General David Muhoozi from his home in Kashagama in Lyantonde District last month.
It is reported that Kayihura will be presented to court when investigations are done by CMI and ISO.
The four star military general was arrested along side former Crime Intelligence boss Ndahura Atwooki, former flying squad boss Herbert Muhangi and SSP Christopher Ndaboine the former director police Cyber crime unit among others.
