Police in Kampala is hunting for a group of the unknown assailants who broke into World Bank office in Nakasero, and stole vital information and billions of money.
Thugs are reported to have broken into the office of Harriet Kiwanuka who is the World Bank Uganda assistant program’s manager.
According to our sources at World Bank head office, Kiwanuka claims she left the money inside her office drawer but found it missing the following day.
“When she tried to ask her colleagues if any could have picked the money, everybody just looked at her since she had closed her office.”
She reported to Central Police Station CPS Kampala a case of theft of vide SD 63/02/07/2018.
Police has since started investigations to pick the suspects behind the break in.
It is indicated that the office break in follows another one after unknown people broke into the same office and stole computer hard disks belonging to Kiwanuka.
Efforts to get a comment from World Bank were futile by press time.
