Police in Mukono is holding a man over allegations of stealing his boss also a Dutch investor who owns a seedling company in Uganda.
The suspect Patrick Mugira has been working as a marketer with Impaala Seeds Limited owned by a Dutch investor known as Voldemal Niac.
Mugira was reported at Mukono police station after swindling money worth shs60m and some company documents.
Luke Owoyesigire the Kampala Meteropolitan police spokesperson says Mugira was arrested on Monday at Katuna on the board of Uganda and Rwanda trying to flee the country after learning that police had been looking for him.
Immediately after his arrest, he was driven directly to Mukono police station where he is being held pending to be taken to court.
Mugira reportedly owns two passports where by one is called Patrick Mugyiraneza and is believed to have gotten it from Burundi and a Ugandan passport under names Mugira Patrick
It alleged that he the money disguising to be going to buy seedlings but later came back without seedlings and then took some of the company documents before he disappeared.
It was until the proprietor of the company and an investor realized that Mugira had stolen his money and company documents and immediately ran direct to police and opened a case.
Mugira being charged of theft of money and company documents vide CRB004/2018 of Mukono police station pending to be charged in courts of law.
