A guest who has been part of South African entourage who visited the home of Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi has died in a road accident in Kampala.
The guest Thomas Mageza 32 met his death on his way to Entebbe airport to get a flight to connect to South Africa.
Mageza was leaving after attending Hon Amaama Mbabazi daughter’s give away ceremony to Andile Ramaphosa a son of South African president Cyril Ramaphosa.
He was travelling in a motor vehicle registration number UAY 259H Pajero Nissan with two other occupants and a driver identified as George Waikumbire and his wife Rachel Namuli.
Emilian Kayima the spokesperson of the Uganda police force says the accident happened Sunday morning at exactly 5:30 in the morning on Entebbe high way.
Kayima added that the two other passengers got serious injuries and were rushed different hospitals where they are receiving treatments.
The police mouthpiece explained that cause of the accident is yet to be established but said police highly suspect that it was due to over speeding, drink driving or even the driver having fell asleep.
It is reported that they were traveling from Munyonyo to Mutungo in Kajansi where they are reported to a have had residences.
