Mengo Representative in Boston US Faces Treason Charges, Passport Confiscated

Enock Kato Kajubi a minister from Mengo government and a representative of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi in diaspora is facing charges of treason and offensive communication at CID headquarters in Kibuli.

Kajubi was yesterday Wednesday released on police Bond but his passport was detained by police authority until investigation is done.

According to sources from police, Kajubi was arrested from Entebbe Airport by airport security on charges of offensive communication and treason because after leading a demonstration in the USA against the arrest of Bobi Wine.

He is accused of attacking government president Museveni which forced the authorities to react.

In recording obtained by police, Kajubi called people of Uganda to start fighting the government until they forcefully overthrow Museveni government.

Department of cyber-crime is investigating his claims to help in finding more charges including treason.

Source added that, “Kajubi is among the people who are funding the demonstration of Bobi wine and Besigye and is among those fighting government and spoiling its image internationally.”

When contacted CID spokesperson SP Vincent Sekate confirmed the arrest of Kato Kajubi but did not reveal the charges pressed against him.
