The ruling party Electoral Commission chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi has issued stern warning against election violence ahead of party primaries in Sheema North constituency.
Sheema North constituency seat fell vacant after former MP DR Elioda Tumwesigye left his position and run for area member of parliament in Sheema municipality which he subsequently warn in a stiff competition with opposition FDC flag bearer.
Dr Tanga Odoi today warned hooligans against causing chaos in NRM primaries set for Thursday 13th September adding that those who intend to cause mayhem will be dealt with decisively.
While closing Sheema North constituency NRM primary campaigns on Tuesday in Kanyeganyegye trading centre, Dr Odoi noted that the party has all it needs to curb any sort of election violence.
“We have got weak and strong weapons to fight any kind of criminals in Uganda,” Tanga Odoi
Odoi also said that the opposition have no room in Uganda and cannot win Museveni for Presidency.
Sheema north NRM party primaries have been marred by election violence where both candidates have registered cases of intimidation from both sides.
Candidate Guma Nuwagaba who is contesting against Naume Kibajju claims supporters from his attacked his donkey which he is using for campaign and inflicted body harm on it.
