Kiboga grade one Magistrate Ronald Nsobya was yesterday morning briefly detained after he knocked a motorcycle killing the rider and two passengers on spot.
The Magistrate who was driving a Silver Benz registration number UBB 806E when he rammed into motorcycle registration number UDR 878 at Nkoowe, Wakiso District is currently being held at Wakiso Police Station.
On the motorcycle the rider a 22 year old identified as Mwanje William was carrying a 52 year old female Beatrice Musima and two of her grandchildren; 6year old Jamine Njoge and 5year old Stephen Tendo.
Mwanje the rider, Musima and Njoge died on spot while Tendo was rushed to Mulago Hospital in Critical condition.
A statement recorded by Nsobya indicates that the motorcycle entered the road abruptly and before he could break the vehicle he knocked the motorcycle.
According to eyewitness, Nsobya was drunk and was driving on high speed due to alcohol influence.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire says the vehicle has been impounded as well as the motorcycle.
“Inquiry is ongoing. The vehicle and motorcycle are with the Inspectorate of Vehicle officer,” Owoyesigire said.
