The chieftaincy of military intelligence is holding the 10th suspect in connection to the murder of fallen Asp Muhammad Kirumira.
The suspect Elvis Jjuko was arrested last week in Mulungo, Munyonyo a Kampala suburb.
According to our sources Jjuko was picked by a section of plain clothed operatives all armed with guns at his gate as he was entering his home after he had parked his car at a night parking lot near his home.
“After his arrest, no person even a relative was allowed to talk to security operatives as he was driven at a terrible speed. We tried to follow the vehicle until when they saw it entering Katwe police station where it stopped for few minutes and again took off to undisclosed place”.
Relatives say they tried to inquire from DPC Katwe police station Frantile Lwamusayi who informed them that he was taken to CMI headquarters where his case is being handled.
“I was shocked upon being told that my brother is connected to the murder of ASP Muhammad Kirumira because what I know he is businessman who does his own businesses and has never engaged himself in bad characters”.
Jjuko now makes a number of arrested suspects in Kirumira murder to ten after one suspect Abubaker Kalungi was charged last week in Wakiso and remanded to Kigo prison.
Abubaker Kalungi is a resident of Mirimu Zone in Makindye-Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District.
He was arraigned before Grade One Magistrate Martin Kirya who read him the two murder counts; one for killing Kirumira and the other for killing Resty Mbabazi Naalinya.
