The S.4 results that were obtained by the ex-New Eagles boss Geoffrey Lutaya left the Nation and the entire Music Industry in total shock. According to the results released by Uganda National Examination board UNEB on Thursday, Lutaya sat for his O level exams at Makerere Day and Evening Adult School located along Sir Apollo Kagwa Road and obtained 62 aggregates in total.
UNEB results further show that Lutaya performed as follows, English 7, CRE 8, History 9, Geography 9, Luganda 5, Math 9, Biology 6 and Commerce 9.
Lutaya is now looking forward to Joining ‘A’ Level such that by 2021, he can qualify to stand as the Member of Parliament for Kakuto Constituency. According to the Constitution any body with academic qualifications above or equivalent to S.6 can stand for presidency or Member of Parliament.
However when we spoke to some of the experts in academic about Luyaya’s S.4 results, they said he does not qualify to Join A level. “His results can not give him a combination in ‘A’ level. He would be taking History, Economic and Geography (HEG) but he failed History, Commerce and Geography,” says an expert in Education.
The expert adds that Lutaya can only repeat and join A Level next year or he joins ordinary courses where he can ascertain Ordinary Diploma for two years and later advance. But according to Lutaya’s ambitions, if he goes through stages, by 2021 he will still not qualify to stand for MP and that means he will wait for 2026 elections.
