The Entebbe Municipal council Town Clerk, Charles Magumba has been placed under fire by Municipal Councilors accusing him to have endorsed the sale of part of Entebbe Children’s land to a private developer one Kisawuzi Junior

Councilor Asumpta Nakamanya say it was wrong for the Town clerk to write a letter allowing the private developer to develop part of the land without informing Council which is the political head of Municipal.

Councilors claim Kisawuzi acquired the land title for the disputed land illegally and fronted town clerk to support him after receiving a lot of money from him.

The angry councilors have threatened to drag the Town Clerk and the private developer to the Land probe committee headed by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire.

However, when contacted the Town Clerk over the issue of the sale of part the land he said “whatever the councilors are saying is just nonsense arguing that the private developer lawfully acquired the land title,” he revealed.

He added that the disputed land was sold way back in 2010 by ex-Entebbe mayor Steven Kabuye before he (Magumba) became Entebbe Town Clerk.
